Kevin Champion, PGA

Program Director

Kevin Champion is a CPGA Professional with more than 40 years of experience in the golf industry and a strong competitive background, including multiple tournament victories and club championships at Belvedere, Green Gables, and Rustico.

As the founder of Champion Golf Academy and Head of Instruction at Andersons Creek, Forest Hills, and Green Gables, Kevin has dedicated his career to growing the game across PEI. A former PEIGA Player Development Coordinator and Canadian PGA Atlantic Junior Leader of the Year, he is passionate about creating a fun, welcoming environment where golfers of all ages can build confidence and improve their skills.

Dylan Gallant, PGA

Head Professional

Dylan Gallant brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Academy as our Head Professional. He discovered his passion for the game at 13, growing up playing at Belvedere Golf Course. In 2017, Dylan turned professional, earning his membership in the PGA of Canada. Since then, he’s been sharing his love for the game by helping golfers improve through lessons and coaching for the past 9+ years.

Steve Chapman, PGA

High Performance Golf Coach

Steve Chapman is a high performance golf coach with decades of experience competing and coaching at the professional and international levels.

A former player on the Australian, Asian, and Canadian PGA Tours for 11 years, Steve’s competitive career includes victories at the Vancouver Island Open, Ontario Assistants Championship, Canadian Assistants Championship, and two Ontario PGA Championships. He also competed in five Canadian Opens and the 1988 U.S. Open.

Alongside his playing career, Steve has built an impressive coaching résumé that includes serving as Head Coach of the Turkish National Golf Team and Head Coach at Tulsa University. He was also formerly a certified GolfTEC and PuttingZone coach.

Steve specializes in high performance player development, helping competitive golfers refine their technique, improve consistency, and elevate their game through a detailed and modern coaching approach.

Kevin MacAdam, PGA

Teaching Professional

Kevin MacAdam has been playing golf for over 55 years and coaching for more than 30. A longtime competitor across PEI, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland, he has earned tournament victories in both stroke play and match play events throughout his career.

A certified USGTF and CGTF Professional, Kevin combines his golf instruction background with a degree in Human Kinetics and decades of coaching experience across multiple sports and levels, including high school, university, and Canada Games programs.
Kevin enjoys coaching golfers of all abilities, especially beginner and intermediate players. His teaching style is relaxed, practical, and focused on helping students build confidence through simple swing adjustments and easy-to-follow drills they can continue practicing after each lesson.

A longtime member at Green Gables Golf Club since 1977, Kevin considers the course one of the most special places in his golfing journey.

Brodie Ward

Junior Development Coordinator

Brodie Ward has been involved in golf for more than 25 years and brings a strong competitive background to Champion Golf Academy. His accomplishments include winning the 2020 Island Open Amateur Championship, the 2018 Amherst Open, and the 2011 PEI Junior Championship, along with being ranked among the Top 50 Canadian Amateurs in 2014. As the Junior Development Coordinator at Champion Golf Academy, Brodie plays a key role in leading the Academy’s Junior Development Program and Headstart Clinics. He is passionate about helping players grow their love for the game in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment. Brodie’s coaching style focuses on meeting players where they are in their golf journey while helping them work toward their individual goals. Known for his easygoing approach, he enjoys creating a positive atmosphere where players can build confidence and enjoy the learning process.
